Happy Wedding Anniversary to my best friend and best husband Dean! Dean and Sammie got into my craft stash and made this beautiful card! We took this picture in the Earthquake simulator at OMSI this last summer, hence the saying inside the card. Also, Dean and Sammie have been watching a lot of Star Trek lately, so it's only fitting Sammie drew some Star Trek kitties. It was even her idea to add the tribbles.
I love this card and I love my husband and daughter!
This past Saturday, October 5th was World Card Making Day. I co-hosted an event with 3 of my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators at the home of Tami Gaumer (wildwoodcottagenewberg). We had 22 people and it was a blast! Here are the cards we designed and some fun photos:
Speaking of demonstrators, Do you like the idea of a 20% discount on your favorite products? How about a chance to earn extra cash, along with tons of exclusive creative ideas at your fingertips? For two weeks only (October 7-21, 2013), you can join Stampin' Up! for just $25 and experience all this and more. Message me for more information!
I had the pleasure of having a Halloween Banner making class for six friends at work this week. It took two lunch hours (we inked our banners the first day and put them together the next day). It took some maneuvering to get my supplies to my office via the bus, but well worth it. We had fun and there is now a lot of Stampin' Up! Halloween cheer in. Our office!
I stamp with a group of fun ladies called the "Stamping Gypsies" about every 6-8 weeks. We get together at someone's house on a Sunday and stamp until we finish each other's project designs. It's always a lot of fun and laughter. I am so glad they adopted me! I always learn a new technique and have a beautiful handful of cards at the end.
These were our cards for September. Enjoy and have a wonderful week!
I didn't stray far from Dawn's version for this card, but I can tell I'll be making a ton of these. I have a holiday bazaar coming up the end of October, and this gift card can be adapted over and over. Thanks to Dawn for the inspiration to try something different than the usual pop up card.
I hope you are all having a nice relaxing Labor Day. Ok, I am now addicted to making these file folder cards with the Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board. Last week , Shelli Gardner, CEO of Stampin' Up!, was involved in a horse riding accident and she's pretty banged up. I wanted to send her a card to let her know I hope she feels better soon.
I had found some file folder card videos on You Tube the past few weeks and wanted to try them. Patty Bennett did a wonderful video on these types of cards (thank you Patty!). You can find it here on You Tube:
I hope you are all having a fabulous long weekend and ready for school to start. My little person is starting middle school on Tuesday. Wow!
Starting today, September 1st, you can order the new Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board (Product Code 133774)!
But it's not just for envelopes. Check out these cute 'file folder' cards I made:
Some great facts about this wonderful tool:
It creates totally customizable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different color and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!
It's super easy to use; all you have to do is measure for the first punch and from there you just turn and score!
It's small and lightweight; use it while watching a soccer match, at a park, at a friend's for craft night-anywhere.
It even has a slick scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes.
It's easy to keep it all together; the stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don't have a bunch of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won't lose them!).
Here's a great video to show just how to use this little guy:
One of my dear friends got married in Hawaii today and I made this card for the bride and groom. I love Regarding Dahlias! I got the inspiration on Pinterest from kathleenstamps.com (http://kathleenstamps.com/regarding-dahlias-and-express-yourself-stamp-sets/). Enjoy your weekend! Terri
Dean needed a baby boy card for one of his colleagues, so it was an excuse for me to make a flip it card. I also added a punch art duck I saw on Pinterest (brandyscards.com).
A couple of weeks ago we had friends in from California and we took them out to Seaside, Oregon for an overnight visit. My daughter Samantha wanted to get bracelets and some heart charms for her four best friends. We bought the heart charms and then found some beads and this past weekend Samantha and I put them together. She even stamped mini canvas gift bags to place them in. She wrote a note to each of her friends and hand delivered them. Her friends loved their bracelets and heart necklaces!
I just received my Stampin' Up! Label Card Thinlits Dies in the mail this week. Perfect timing, because my husbands birthday was this past Friday. I used the Label Love stamp set and Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper. This card was so easy. Check out the arrow stencil!

The Stamping Gypsies always have a good time together. I had these lovely ladies over to my house today for a full day of stamping, embossing, watercoloring and of course glittering!

I've wanted to try this type of card for a while and there was a perfect opportunity to use my Stampin' Up! Simply Sketched Hostess set. I made this card for my mother-in-law, who turns 85 in August! Happy Birthday Mom!
