Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog Sneak Peek

Hi friends,
I had fun this last weekend creating with some of the gorgeous new items in the Spring Catalog.  I created this Valentine's card using the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Hearts a Flutter Bundle (stamp set and framelits) and the new Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
I also tried my hand at even more dimension (I'm a layering girl) with the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack and the new 2013 Sale-a-bration Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set, which you can earn by spending $50.00 (not including tax and shipping).  This stamp set is one of many many Sale-a-bration items you can choose from, which runs January 22, 2013 through March 22, 2013.

Please contact me for more details (territakashige.stampinup.net) and happy crafting!  If you'd like a Spring Catalog, please email me your information and I will make sure you get one.

Terri,

P.S. Did you notice the new little butterfly punch? It's the new Bitty Butterfly and goes perfect layered on top of the Elegant Butterfly punch!

Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine Test Product

Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine

Due to Stampin' Up!'s partnership with Sizzix, they have offered a test run of the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine.  As they are a test run, they are being sold only while supplies last.

The Texture Boutique works with Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to transform ordinary cardstock, paper, metallic foil, or vellum into an embossed, textured masterpiece. This machine embosses only; it does not die cut. Because this is a product test, the Texture Boutique is not branded with the Stampin' Up! logo. It comes in Sizzix packaging and is the same color and design that is sold in stores.
'Tis the season of giving, and the Texture Boutique makes a wonderful gift for anyone who wants to create their own elegant embossed art. To help you with your gift-giving needs, we're offering a special value bundle that saves you $5.90. If you prefer, you can also purchase the Texture Boutique alone. Looking for stocking stuffers? Pick up some additional embossing folders.

Triple Time Stamping Technique

Happy Sunday Friends,

This technique is all the rage right now and I really love it (because I love to layer).  It's surprisingly fast too once you get the measurements down. Also, Stampin' Up!'s The Open Sea stamp set  is perfect for this technique.  Doesn't it make you want to set sail?

Have a wonderful week!

It's time for the Mastercrafter Link Up!

Hello friends,
I am so excited as it's now time to link up my MasterCrafter Challenge entry to the Sarah Hamer Designs blog!  I've been working on this project over the last couple of weeks and hope you like it. I can't wait to see what everyone created. For this challenge we needed to use items generously donated by Westcott, DCWV Deals, State Line Bag Co., Queen & Co., and Pink By Design, all graciously gathered and shipped to us by Sarah. We could also incorporate stuff from our own stash.

I broke out my Cricut Rock Princess cartridge and a 7 Gypsies printer's tray.  I've been wanting to make one of these for a very long time, so it was an easy choice to use the supplies we received in our MasterCrafter boxes and weave it into a rockin' crafty theme.

Thanks to Sarah for the chance, thanks to all of the generous companies and thanks to everyone for visiting my entry. Have a great time viewing and voting. Voting begins October 7th at 12:01 AM Central time.  Here's a link to Sarah Hamer Designs:

Take care!

It's Tuesday and time for a Link Up Party at Sarah Hamer Designs

Hello and happy Tuesday!

I am just coming off of a 4-day weekend.  Wow, I can hardly believe it, but that's how these things go!

It's time for a Link Up Party at Sarah Hamer Designs:  http://www.pinkcricut.com/2012/09/link-tuesday-18/

I saw a video tutorial on how to make paper flowers using Stampin' Up! flower punches, a brad and some water (using a spritzer or spray bottle).  You can view the tutorial here:  http://juliedavison.blogspot.com/

Anyway, I knew I had to try. They are so easy and now I'm addicted!  I made these flowers using Real Red, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight cardstock from Stampin' Up!, along with some Old Olive polka dot ribbon.  I glued the flowers to wire and then to each other using hot glue (for stability).  These flowers are so quick and so pretty.  The longest part is waiting for them to dry!  You can use any flower punch (bigger are easier to work with).  I used the scallop circle and 5-petal.

Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Stampin' Write Markers Are Not Just for Crafting!

Hello friends,
We were hanging some prints today (they'd been out in the garage since we moved in) and one of the Napa Valley prints had some wear and tear.  It just so happens my Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker was just the tool for the job.  Here is Dean using the marker and the before and after pictures.

Happy Labor Day!

Tunnel card I saw on youtube.

Happy July 16th Friends!
I peruse youtube for Stampin' Up! inspired craft ideas and I always come across Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. http://www.youtube.com/user/dawn5377?feature=results_main This past weekend she had a tunnel card video tutorial so I tried it.  This card is so easy to make and I think I'll be making lots more of them.  For this card I used Whisper White and Elegant Eggplant cardstock, Elegant Egglplant ink and my Petals A Plenty embossing folder.  I also used some retired ribbon for the bow.  To give it a little sparkle on the front I used Dazzling Details.  Stamps set were My Friend and Fabulous Phrases.  At last, but not least I used the Framelits Labels, sizes 3 and 4. To get such easy score lines, I used my Stampin' Up! Simply Scored (TM) tool.

Enjoy, and have a wonderful week!

"Juicy" Brown Paper Gift Bag

I have been wanting to make this lemonade themed idea for almost a year, since I received a beautiful card for my birthday last summer.  I used the orange/lemon stamp from the Tart & Tangy retired Stampin' Up! set. I used a card front as decoration on a plain brown paper bag that I stamped my fruit using the new Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 In Color Raspberry Ripple.  This gift bag just makes me kinda thirsty!  Come check out Link Up Tuesday over at pinkcricut.com to see this bag and other beautiful crafty projects by very talented people (http://www.pinkcricut.com/2012/07/link-tuesday-10/).

Have a great 4th tomorrow!

A Cake Pop 4th of July

I finally tried making cake pops and I knew I wanted a patriotic theme. I made white and red ones as well, but they came along after this picture was taken.  We are having a block party this 4th of July, so provided they don't melt, these should be a fun treat.

Happy Independence Day everyone!

Two Reasons to Smile

First and foremost, today is Father's Day and that's the number one reason to smile.  Secondly, I finally did this easy project, and that makes me smile too.  You take 4 1/4" tile squares (I purchased them at Home Depot for .16 cents each), a little Mod Podge, paper of your choice (I used Stampin' Up! First Edition), and stamps of your choice (I used Reason To Smile).  Put a thin layer of Modge Podge on the tile (you can use foam brushes) layer your pre-stamped paper cut to about 4" on top and then add another thin layer of Modge Podge to seal everything down.

Let this dry (I let it dry overnight) and then use some Crystal Effects brushed on top.  This makes it a little shiny.

You can purchase foam felt pads at any office supply store and voila, you have a set of coasters to enjoy yourself or give as a very economical and fun gift.

I just love when you can use craft supplies in home decor, it makes me smile!

During the month of July, the Reason To Smile stamp set is only $5.00 when you spend $50.00.  I can see myself using this set for many projects!  Visit me at territakashige.stampinup.net for more details.

Have a great Father's Day!

Christmas in May Sneak Peek

It's Christmas in May! I know it's a little early, but I make about 70 handmade Christmas/holiday cards every year, so getting an early start is fine by me.  I used some sneak peek products from the upcoming Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 Annual Catalog. In just 8 days, items in this catalog will be available for order.  If you are interested in ordering, and there are some fabulous items this year, please visit me at territakashige.stampinup.net

For these cards, I used Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green (a new 2012-2014 In Color) cardstock, Chock-Full of Cheer clear mount stamps, Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker and the new Be of Good Cheer Designer Series paper.  I also used some Stampin' Up! Jewels to bling them up a little.  I made the poinsettia flowers using the Boho Blossoms punch and last but not least the Decorative Label punch, one of my favorite standbys.  The best part of this project was that I used only 1 sheet of the Designer Series Paper and 3 sheets of 8/12 x 11 cardstock to make 6 cards total.

Merry early holidays!!

Fun afternoon/evening with some new stamping friends!

This past Sunday I spent the afternoon and evening with some great ladies stamping and card making and laughing quite a bit.  We each prepared a card and the materials and took turns instructing the others how to make the cards we presented.  From left to right:

Dawn's faux quilting card, Molly's beautiful Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White butterfly card, Mary Jane's girl leaning on fence interactive hello card, Michelle's cute girl with bird cage and seed card and my Happy Birthday ice cream cone card (this card I CASE'd from my friend Heidi's site): http://stuckonstampin.blogspot.com/.

Thanks my new stamping friends for a wonderful day!

Sammie's Kingdom Hearts Masks

My little chicky is so creative and loves the Kingdom Hearts game characters.  She made these two eye masks out of white cardstock, markers and Scotch tape.  Love this little girl's creativity!

Westward Ho!

Good evening everyone!

As part of 4th grade studies of the Oregon Territory, Sammie had to make a covered wagon.  It was to be a family project and as simple or as elaborate as we wanted it.  We made this covered wagon this past weekend using the Cricut Old West cartridge, paper mache boxes and round wood pieces from Joann's, wooden spools (small and large), Stampin' Up! Close To Cocoa ink and various fabric scraps and twine.  We made cuts for a canteen, pick ax, shovel and lantern.  I also had a small 7 Gypsies bag that I emptied and filled with fiberfil to look like a flour bag. We had so much fun putting this wagon together and think it turned out great!

Have a beautiful week!

I don't know about you, but I am so ready for Summer and better weather, even though Spring just barely sprang!  I think Stampin' Up! is ready for Summer as well with their new Summer Smooches promotion April 1st-30th.  For these projects I used Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper, Bright Blossoms clear stamp set, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Summer Smooches Fabric Designer Brads, Crystal Effects, Lace Ribbon Border punch and Round Tab punch.  I also used the Framelits Label Collection dies from the Occassions Mini Catalog.  Come visit me at territakashige.stampinup.net.

It's Tuesday and time for a link up party over at Sarah Hamer Designs!

My friend Sarah hosts a link up party on her blog every Tuesday:  http://www.pinkcricut.com/2012/03/link-party-6/

She is so gracious to invite everyone to link up current projects they've been working on. This last week, I've been making felt ice cream pin cushions. These are so economical, a  little felt, some embroidery floss, some cute buttons and some fiberfill stuffing.  The hardest part is finding the parfait glasses.  I found one of the old style at my local dollar store, and the shorter one was purchased at Ross for about a dollar each.  I saw this idea in a craft book and just had to try it.  Have a great rest of your week and thanks Sarah!

Valentine Treats for school and work.

Okay, the last of Valentine's Day crafting. I made Valentine boxes for Sammie's 4th/5th grade class (26 counting the teacher) and 5 for my teammates at work using the Cricut Spring Holiday Cards cartridge.  Then, I made 48 candy spoons with Valentine's sprinkles and used my left over hearts from the Cricut cuts and the heart from my Stampin' Up! Filled With Love set (retired) and took these to work today .  Whew, my Gypsy and E2 got a workout last week!  Head on over to http://www.pinkcricut.com/ to see what everyone else has been up this past week!

I hope you had a great Valentine's Day!
